Only non-incarcerated Muslim U.S. citizens and permanent residents are eligible to apply.

The next available grant cycle is for July 2019-June 2020. Applications should become available in February 2019, and the deadline is in late May 2019.

Reminders for the 2019-20 application cycle are distributed via e-mail and SMS/text messages. You can also text @201920a to the number 81010 or (636) 486-0790.

For those who submitted applications for 2018-19, you can follow the status of your full application or your renewal application online using your FEF ID. You receive a FEF ID by e-mail within 10 business days after the foundation has received your application. If you have applied in the past, please reuse your previous FEF ID.

The selection of successful candidates for awards is based on a combination of need and merit. Grant selections are completed by mid-July. You will not be notified. You must check the website to see if you received an award. The maximum amount for the grant is $3,500.00. If you are selected, you must follow these instructions before any money is disbursed.

The awards are sent directly to the educational institution. The duration of the award is one academic year. Recipients are encouraged to re-apply in subsequent years.
