Only non-incarcerated Muslim U.S. citizens and permanent residents are eligible to apply.

The current application cycle is for grants to be distributed from July 2025-June 2026. The deadline for submission is May 31, 2025. If you’ve received a grant in 2023-24 or 2024-25, use the renewal form. If you haven’t received a grant in 2023-24 or 2024-25, use this application form. Reminders for the 2025-26 application cycle are distributed via e-mail and SMS/text messages. You can also text @fef2025-26 to the number 81010 or (415) 780-9457. You can also receive reminders via our Signal group, Telegram channel or WhatsApp group.

The awards are sent directly to the educational institution. The duration of the award is one academic year. Recipients are encouraged to re-apply in subsequent years. Grantees have a lifetime award limit.
